In the analysis, it was assumed that the non -contact cooling water discharge had a BOD-ultimate of 2.0 mg/l, a dissolved oxygen content of 7.0 mg/l, and a temperature of 290C. The model results for the sanitary and detergent discharge from pipe #001 (below the cooling water discharge) were as follows: Wastewater Flow pH BOD5 NH3-N DO -effluent (MGD) SU (mg/1) (mg/1) (mg/1) 0.01 6-9 23 15 5.0 0.015 6-9 16 11 5.0 0.02 6-9 17 8 5.0 Thus, if Sunbeam Appliance can guarantee a continuous cooling water discharge of 0.022 MGD.from proposed pipe #002, at a D.O. of 7.0 mg/l or more and a BODult. of 2.0 mg/l or less the above allocation results will apply. However, if Sunbeam cannot guarantee a continuous cooling water flow, the limits for the sanitary discharge from pipe #001 must be allocated on the basis of zero flow upstream (7Q10 flow = 0 cfs).
