General Information:
• Tryon Finishing Corporation is SNC for copper.
• Tryon Finishing Corporation non -compliant for copper on 1/25/22.
• Re -sampled on 2/22/22. Results compliant.
• Tryon Finishing Corporation non -compliant for copper on 7/12/22.
• Re -sampled on 8/17/22, results non -compliant.
• Re -sampled on 9/29/22 results compliant for copper.
• On 10/7/22 Naiden Kremenliev, President of TFC called with his concerns over copper
results being non -compliant with IU pretreatment permit. TFC has hired engineers to access
the problem and is in the process of having equalization basin pumped out.
• The POTW conducted an annual inspection at Tryon Finishing Corporation on 11/29/22.
• POTW Advertised Public Notice in local paper for BOD and Copper Violations for both six (6)
month periods.
• Tryon Finishing Corporation is taking corrective measures to get back in to compliance for
copper.
• The DWR Regional contact on the database form should be changed to Daniel Boss.
• The Town of Tryon has written and Enforcement Response Notice to Tryon Finishing
Corporation for a written plan on returning to compliance within thirty (30) day of receipt of
Notice.
