Todd, We are proposing to use Class B (5-12"). 1 ran a shear stress analysis on the reach and it showed the maximum movable particle size to be between 1.7 and 3.9 inches. We believe that this can be accomplished by hand. John and/or myself will be onsite to sign off on the work and make sure we are comfortable that the final repair is secure enough. What size rock are you proposing to use to stabilize the headcut? I'm concerned that smaller rock will not be suitable to prevent the headcut from moving, or might be dislodged by high flows? Is this really something that can be accomplished by hand?
