Site inspection was conducted on February 22, 2023 by Kevin Mitchell with the Asheville Regional Office. James
Hutchins was present during the inspection.
- Station Y 479+00 RT - Stabilize slopes above JS within NPDES timeframes.
- Station Y 482+50 RT (Site 3) - Matting on stream banks has plastic in it. Remove matting and add coir fiber matting
without plastic.
NPDES records were up to date.

Condition #7 - Erosion control matting that incorporates plastic mesh and/or plastic twine shall not be
used along streambanks or within wetlands. Exceptions to this condition require application to
and written approval from DWR. [l5A NCAC 02B .0201]
Erosion control matting on stream banks at site 3 has plastic in it. This needs to be removed and
replaced with coir fiber matting.
