Apparently two NOT requests for this permit were submitted on 2/7/2023. Our reviewer opened the second submittal in quick succession to approving the first NOT request, and the permit record had not completed the update with the rescission date. Because of that, the field that checks for a prior rescission date failed to populate, and the process allowed the reviewer to approve the second NOT for the same permit. There is no real consequence to this, as the rescission date was still accurately recorded in our database as 2/9/2023. However, I wanted to let you know that you will find an additional folder in the NCC201221 permit file in our repository noting the subsequent duplicate submittal and review/approval records. The COC was originally issued on 4/3/2020. Conducting subject construction activities without approved coverage under the NCG01 Construction Stormwater Permit is against federal and state laws and could result in fines. If something changes and you would again require coverage, please go to www.deg.nc.gov/NCG01 and complete the eNO1 form. If the site is in the process of being sold, you would be performing a public service if you inform the new or prospective owners of their potential need for NPDES permit coverage. Questions?
