Site inspection was conducted on February 10, 2023 by Kevin Mitchell with the Asheville Regional Office. Levi
McPhalls was present during the inspection. The following are items that need attention:
- Site 2 of the permit plans (Vance Street). Material has been pushed up against the silt fence above the JS. This needs
to be corrected.
- Y5 Line - Silt fence adjacent to the JS needs repair in places.
- Continue to add groundcover per NPDES stabilization timeframes.
NPDES records were up to date.
Note - Turbidity was observed in the project area on Shelton Branch. The source was from a water line break outside of
the project area. I spoke with the City of Waynesville and they were in the process of repairing it. Please let me know
if any measurable sediment is observed below the stormwater pipe outlet after it clears up and I will have the City
address it.
