THE EXISTING DRAINAGE SYSTEM IS TO BE PROTECTED FROM THE EFFECTS OF SEDIMENT
BEFORE .AND DURING THE INSTALLATION OF THE PROPOSED STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEM.
PROTECTION SHALL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO.
1- INSTALLATION OF SILT FENCE AT SPECIFIED LOCATIONS SHOWN HEREON:
2- INSTALLATION OF CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE:
3- INSTALLATION OF DOUBLE -CONCRETE BLOCK FILTERS AT ALL PROPOSED LOCATONS
SHOWN HEREON: AND
4- SEEDING AND ESTABLISHING GROUNDCO`JER IN ACCORDANCE WITH VEGETATIVE PLAN
OR WITHIN THE TIME FRAMES OF THE MOST RECENT NPDES GENERAL PERMIT NCG 010000.
5- EXISTING DITCH BANKS ARE NOT TO BE DISTURBED AND IF EXISTING DITCH BANKS
ARE DISTURBED, THEY SHALL BE REGRADED TO HAVE 3:1 OR FLATTER SIDE SLOPES
AND THE CENTERLINE GRADED TO PRODUCE POSITIVE DRAINAGE.
EXISTING DRAINAGE SYSTEM SHALL BE MONITORED DAILY AND NECESSARY ACT IONS WILL
BE TAKEN IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE SYSTEM.

1. OBTAIN PLAN APPROVAL.
2, SCHEDULE PRE -CONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE WITH CITY OF JACKSONVILLE EROSION
CONTROL AND STORMWATER INSPECTORS (910) 938-5249. OWNER OR OWNER'S
REPRESENTATIVE SHALL BE PRESENT AT THAT MEETING.
o- PROVIDE BOND FOR PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE PRIOR TO ANY ON SITE ACTIVITIES.
4. CONTRACTOR TO INSTALL MARKINGS (FLAGS. STAKES.. ETC.) TO CLEARLY DESIGNATE
WETLANDS AND ANY OTHER "CRITICAL AREAS" T-HAT ARE VULNERABLE TO DAMAGE
PRIOR TO LAND DISTURBANCE ACTIVITIES,
5. INSTALL THE CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCES, ALL SILT FENCES AND TEMPORARY
SEDIMENT TRAP (DETENTION POND) WITH ,AN INLET & OUTLET BEFORE BEGINNING
GENERAL CLEARING.
6 CONSTRUCT ALL SITE IMPROVEMENTS.
T MAINTAIN STRUCTURES DURING CONSTRUCTION.

MAINTENANCE PLAN
1- ALL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PRACTICES WILL BE CHECKED FOR STABIDTY
AND OPERA-1!ON FOLLOWING EVERY RUNOFF PRODUCING RAINFALL BUT IN NO CASE
LESS THAN ONCE A WEEK. ANY NEEDED REPAIRS WILL BE MADE IMMEDIATELY TO
MAIN -FAIN ALL PRACTICES AS DESIGNED.
2- SEDIMENT VVILL BE REMOVED FROM THE INLET PROTECTION DEVICES WHEN STORAGE
CAPACITY HAS BEEN APPROXIMATELY 5G m FILLED.
3- SEDIMENT'A'L BE REMOVED FROM BEHIND THE SFD IMENT FENCE WHEN IT BECOMES
ABOUT 0.5 F! DEEP AT THE FENCE. THE SEDIMENT FENCE WILL BE REPAIRED AS
NECESSARY 10 MAINTAIN A BARRIER.
4- ALL SEEDED AREAS WILL BE FERTILIZED. RESEEDED AS NECESSARY. AND MULCHED
ACCORDING TO SPECIFICATIONS IN THE VEGETATIVE PLAN OR WITHIN THE TIME FRAMES
OF THE MOST RECENT NPDES GENERAL PERMIT NCG 010000 TO MAINTAIN A VIGOROUS,
DENSE VEGETATIVE COVER.
5- CONTRACTOR C KEEP !NSPECTIION AND MAINTENANCE RECORDS ON SITE AND AVAILABLE
ALONG WITH A COPY OF THE LAND DISTURBANCE PERMIT AND A COPY OF THE
APPROVED PLANS.
6- AFTER CONSTRUCTION HAS BEEN COMPLETED THE OWNER
PERPETUALLY MAINTAIN ALL DEVICES THAT CONVEY STORMWATER .AND
ALL VEGETATIVE AREA
