Since the current authorizations have expired, and construction within the permitted areas will not be completed by the end of the grace period, the Department is requesting reissuance of the authorizations under Regional General Permit 50 / Water Quality Certification 4135 and Nationwide 57 (for Section 10 - no stream or wetland impacts are associated with this utility work). There have been no changes to 404 or coastal wetlands impacts since the project was originally permitted. The original wetland and surface water impacts summary dated 3/4/2020 (Permit drawing Sheet 10 of 10) reflects all impacts. For your information, previously authorized changes in permitting since the original authorizations included the addition of a Nationwide 58, also referenced above, for a new Alum Sludge line. The sludge line did not require any direct impacts to waters or wetlands as it was bored from high ground to high ground.
