Subject: Running Dog Mitigation Plan Approval
Pursuant to Titles 15A NCAC 02B .0295 and 15A NCAC 02B .0703 (e), a provider shall submit a
project plan proposal to the Division for review and approval that includes specific elements of the
project. By copy of this correspondence and attached Approval Letter, the final buffer mitigation
plan for the Running Dog Mitigation Project submitted on January 26, 2023 is approved. DIMS may
begin implementing the riparian restoration plan according to the approved Plan.

Re: Running Dog Riparian Buffer Mitigation Plan Approval
Dear Sirs,
The Division of Water Resources (DWR) received a draft Mitigation Plan (Plan) from the Division of
Mitigation Services (DMS) for the Running Dog site (Site) in 2022. The Plan was submitted to DWR
for review and approval under 15A NCAC 02B .0295 to be used as a buffer mitigation project. DWR
reviewed the Plan and provided comments and recommendations. DMS submitted a revised Plan that
addressed all comments and recommendations provided by DWR. The table below summarizes the
timeline of the Plan:
