Good morning Andrea, Please see the following responses to your questions in red. 1. Can you provide details on the 88' of permanent stream impact? E.g., plan drawing with information such as culvert material and size. The 88 LF of stream impact would have an 18" HDPE storm pipe with pea stone gravel bedding around the pipe. The gravel bedding is proposed to be roughly eight feet in width and five feet in depth under the proposed truck drive aisle. Please see attached Rough Grading and Erosion Control Plan provided by Civil Design Concepts (CDC) for additional detail. 2. Similarly, can you provide details on the 20' of temporary stream impact? The 20 feet of temporary stream impact would result from installation of a sewer force main that would serve the facility. Contactors would install the sewer line using typical construction methods (excavators, trench boxes etc.) along with pump around techniques (small pump, hoses, coffer dams etc.) to work in the dry. Once the sewer line is installed (buried below the depth of the bottom of the existing stream) the stream would be restored to its current condition. Please note, the "stream" in this location has been straightened to run along the property boundary (likely for past agricultural purposes). 3. You propose 0.132 acres of wetland fill. I believe that this requires mitigation. Can you provide the details on how you will achieve this? If mitigation is required, Manna will purchase appropriate mitigation bank credits (NCDMS) at a 2:1 ratio (or approved ratio). 4. For the wetland impacts, can you complete a NCWAM form so that the mitigation ratio can be adequately determined? Yes, I will complete an NCWAM form and submit to your attention. This wetland occurs at the edge of an agricultural field that has been fallow for the last couple of years. This property was recently subdivided from a larger property that is in the Brownfields program. Please let me know if you have any additional questions and always feel free to give me a call at 252.202.8166 to discuss. Warren D. Eadus, P.G.
