Figure 12-3. Temporary Diversion Berm Detail
2023 Modification
This modification adds 150 acres to the permitted area, with 129.6 acres of this new area to be
disturbed by mining. The new area is adjacent to the existing mine, connected by a 50 foot
wide access. The mined sand and gravel will be hauled to the existing processing plant. All
disturbed areas are surrounded by a perimeter berm, which prevents any offsite sedimentation.
This mine does not discharge any stormwater or groundwater. Any dewatering of the new
mining area will be pumped into the existing mine, which allows excess water to be infiltrated
into the soil without any discharge. Upon completion of mining, all excavations will be reclaimed
as a pond. Any disturbed areas above water table will be graded and deeded according to
approved revegetation schedule.
