Mr. Hennessy,
Union County Water receieved the fully excuted SOC for the Grassy Branch WRF on June 21, 2022. As a
requirement of this SOC the County is to submit quarterly progress reports. This letter provides the
February 2023 progress report.
For Collections system permit WQCS00054
• Ongoing inflow and infiltration (I&I) rehabilitation in the Grassy Branch basin.
o Manhole reparairs are complete.
For NPDES Permit NC0085812
• Submit Contract documents for regulatory approval for Grassy Branch WWTP upgrade project.
o Executed a task order with Hazen on November 28, 2022 to develop a tech memo to
evaluate unit processes and cost. This tech memo will serve as the design basis for final
design and will be completed by April 30, 2023.
