Dear Mr. Hutton:
This correspondence is in reference to the Wildlands Middle Cape Fear Umbrella
Mitigation Bank, Daniels Creek Mitigation Site. The site includes unnamed tributaries it
the Cape Fear River Basin, Cataloging Unit (03030004), and is located in Harnett
County, North Carolina. The purpose of this letter is to transmit comments provided by
the NC Interagency Review Team (NCIRT) during the review of the annual monitoring
report (see attached) and to confirm the Year 2 credit release for this mitigation site.
Pursuant to the site's Umbrella Mitigation Banking Instrument and the site -specific
Mitigation Plan, the following mitigation credits shall be available for sale provided the
annual monitoring report demonstrates interim performance standards are being met:
10% of the total stream restoration and/or enhancement credits, plus the
remainder of the MY1 credit release of 2% for a total request of 1,418.8 Warm
Water Stream Credits
• 10% of the total wetland restoration and/or enhancement credits, plus 10% of
the remainder of riparian and non -riparian credits from MY1 for a total of 2.784
Riparian Wetland Credits and 0.078 Non -riparian Wetland Credits
Based on a review of the data provided for the stream and wetland restoration on the
site, we confirm that you have satisfied the above requirements, and 1,418.8 Warm
Water SMUs and 2.784 Riparian and 0.078 Non -Riparian WMUs are now available for
sale. To date, 6,012.0 SMUs (50% of the total SMUs) and 6.961 Riparian and 0.196 Non -
Riparian WMUs (50% of the total WMUs) have been released for sale.
Please review the comments provided by the NCIRT during their review of the
monitoring report. While it is not necessary to provide a response to specific comments
at this time, please be sure to address the issues raised in future monitoring report
submittals.
