The assistance of Ryan Copeland of Synagro was helpful and appreciated. Fields NC-CH-73-2 and 7-9 Maps included but no LASC, no LOA, and no CPLR. It is not clear if this application is requesting the inclusion of these fields in the permit. Note: They also do not appear in LASC tables as fields for deletion. Field NC-CH-44-13 Mapped as Nanford-Badin and Goldston-Badin, described as Badin, and listed as Badin-Taurus in the LASC. There are no Taurus soils mapped in the area. This series should be listed as Badin-Nanford in the LASC with a RYE loading rate of 1261bs/ac for fescue. This loading rate will allow residuals to be applied to the entirety of Field 13 in amounts that do not exceed agronomic rates for any mapped soil series. RYE loading rate for fescue on Goldston-Badin complex in this area is 130-147lbs/ac (slopes 15-35% and 2- 15%). The Badin-Taurus complex has a similar loading rate to the mapped Nanford-Badin complex (1711bs/ac and 180lbs/ac respectively). If the applicant wants to keep these higher loading rates for parts of this field the field needs to be split and the areas mapped as Goldston-Badin need to be applied to at agronomic rates for that series complex. Revised maps need to be submitted to include additional setbacks for rock outcroppings, stream, and drainage feature (See Figure 2 and Figure 3). DWR Staff requested that a 25ft buffer be applied to each rock outcropping and ditch/waterway and that a 100ft buffer be applied to the stream. Field NC-CH-81-1 No soils test results were provided. Tests were ordered from Waypoint, but not included in the application. Revised maps need to be submitted to include additional setbacks for rock outcroppings, streams, and drainage features (See Figure 5 and Figure 6). DWR Staff requested that a 25ft buffer be applied to each rock outcropping and ditch/waterway and that a 100ft buffer be applied to the stream. Note: The feature labeled as a ditch in the middle of the field labeled in Figure 5 as "81-1 North" could also be deemed unsuitable for application by the applicant if they would prefer that option. In any case this linear feature should not receive any residuals applications. Field NC-CH-81-2 No soils test results provided. Tests were ordered from Waypoint, but not included in the application. Revised maps need to be submitted to include additional setbacks for rock outcroppings and drainage features (See Figure 7). DWR Staff requested that a 25ft buffer be applied to each ditch/waterway. Big Buffalo WWTP Listed as New (N) facility in application but was already in permit. Requested modification is for increased DT limit.
