The Division of Environmental Management (DEM) has received the information in the
letter of May 26, 1992 concerning the use of Betz Slimicide C -78P at your facility in New
Hanover County. Our review has revealed that the biocide Betz Slimicide C -78P at the stated
rate in the request should be appropriate for use in your application. Therefore, the DEM
grants approval to Carolina Power and Light Company for the use of the above mentioned additive
Betz Slimicide C -78P.
Should you plan to change to a different additive in the future, you should contact this
office and submit the appropriate information for approval prior to the change.
