TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,
On November 23, 2022 the Town of Parkton Water and Sewer Department received a Notice of
Violation of BOD and Nitrogen, Ammonia Concentrations exceeding monthly allowed percentages.
Upon further investigation our staff discovered that the sewer plant pump system had experienced a
blockage in Clarifier #1 which in turn resulted in the backing up of the aforementioned contact
chamber. In addition and due to the sludge build up, a chamber pump failed.
Upon discovery of said failures the aforementioned pump has been repaired and in good working
condition at the publishing of this request for removal/cancellation of above mentioned violation.
To date no further issues have experienced/notated with sludge backup or issues with aforementioned
pump.
Based on the above mentioned information I am respectfully requesting that said violations be
canceled.
