Summary • phis is a minor renewal for a solvent-contaminated groundwater remediation system with a design flow of 0.0864 MGD. Site was previously used for metal fabrication activities with solvent use; trichloroethene and 1,1,1-trichloroethane were released at some time. Treatment system includes air stripper, but no GAC. • Permit was originally issued 1/97 with limits for flow,TSS,and chronic tox. Treatment system was installed/operational by Summer 1998. Permit renewal application and request for flow increase was received 2/98. NPDES separately modified permit on 11/98 for flow increase(from 0.0288 MOD to 0.0864 MGD,wlth a concurrent mod to chronic tox test to reflect change in IWC to 4.5%). • Facility discharges to Brushy Fork, which confluences with Salem Creek approximately 1,500-ft downstream. There is a Brushy Fork listed on 303(d)list for sediment in subbasin 030707,but nothing listed for this subbasin(030704). Brushy.Fork has a s7Q10 flow of 2.9 cfs.
