On December 10, 2014, the Dmsion of Water Resources (the Drvision) received your application
for the sub�ect pro�ect The application was rewewed and on December 22, 2014, site visit was
conducted by this office along with your representatrve, Mr. Kevin Van Metre During the wsit, several
items were discussed and are listed below in order to complete the review and issuance of the
application
• The current plans indicate a three barrel box culvert at stream #2 There was discussion as
to restncting the base flow of the stream to a single barrel rather than the proposed 2
barrels The single barrel with two high flow/storm barrels is preferred
• General comments were made regarding storm water runoff from the road way Rather
than directing flow to the closest stream, it was suggested to utilize the level riparian areas
and gentle topography as a mediahng buffer prior to storm water discharging to the
streams, to the extent pracGcable
• Be adwsed that Rocky Rrver and its tributaries are 303-d listed streams. Sediment and
erosion control plans and storm water runoff must be taken into account to meet the
reqwred standards

placed on hold pursuant to 15A NCAC 2H 0507(h) In addition, this Office is requesGng that lhe Army
