Site inspection was conducted on January 13, 2023 by Kevin Mitchell with the Asheville Regional Office. Dave
McHenry (NCWRC), Ross Stroup, Taylor Ivie, and Jesse Martinez were present during the inspection. Other
representatives from Wright Brothers were also present during portions of the inspection. The following are items that
require attention:
- 779+00 LT (Above JS) - Remove sediment from inside stormwater pipe outlet above JS.
- 797+50 LT (Site 4) - Sediment was observed in the stream. Sediment needs to be removed from the stream and
stabilized on site. Additional measures are planned to prevent future sediment loss.
- 797+50 RT (Site 4) - Recommend cover on slope above JS/basin at culvert inlet.
- 830+00 RT (Site 6) - A small amount of sediment was observed in the stream below the SDO on the left bank
descending of the cuvlert outlet. Sediment needs to be reomoved. Rip rap still needs to be installed below the baffles
inside the culvert.
Ensure that project is meeting NPDES stabilization requirements.
