INTENT TO ISSUE NPDES
WASTEWATER DISCHARGE
PERMIT #NC0000752
Public comment or objection to
the draft permit is invited. All
comments received by Decem-
ber 12, 2022 will be considered
in the final determination re-
garding permit issuance and
permit provisions.
PERMIT APPLICATION
WestRock Paper, LLC, North
Roanoke Avenue, Roanoke
Rapids. N.C., has applied for
renewal of its NPDES wastewa-
ter permit (NC0000752) for
Roanoke Rapids Mill WWTP,
North Roanoke Avenue, Roan-
oke Rapids, Halifax County.
The facility discharges treated
industrial wastewater and do-
mestic wastewater to Roanoke
River in the Roanoke River
basin. Some of the parameters
are water quality limited. This
discharge may affect future al-
locations in this portion of the
Roanoke River basin. The loca-
tion of Outf all 001 is:
Latitude: 36°28'19"; Longitude
77 ° 38' 14".
The draft wastewater permit
and related documents are

of the draft permit and related
documents may be reviewed at
the department's Raleigh Re-
