Stormwater and Swale Narrative
A collection and infiltration swale is proposed at the interface of the proposed grading within the
existing buffer. Runoff from roof leaders and the areas between the three residential houses shall be
collected and piped to the swale to provide infiltration and diffuse flow through the buffer. Without the
swale the drainage across the driveway from these areas in addition to the driveway runoff would
become erosive along the fill slope at the buffer; this erosion would then continue further into the
buffer. The swale will have a permanent root reinforcement lining and will be vegetated.
