Please refer to the report for comments and recommendations. Site Inspection Deficiency Comments Stormwater system (catch basins, No Stormwater conveys through the site via sheet flow into a inlets, outfalls, etc.) series of drop inlets, catch basins, and channels which discharge to a dry detention SCM which discharges from 1 outfall. No stormwater pollution issues were observed. Erosion issues No No erosion issues were observed during the inspection. Structural stormwater control No A dry detention basin SCM is located on the south end of the measures (SCMs) property, which discharges from one outfall. No stormwater pollution issues were observed. Illicit discharges/connections No No illicit discharges/connections were observed during the inspection. Aboveground storage tank(s) (ASTs) No The facility has the following ASTs located outdoors and with and any associated venting and/or secondary containment: one 500-gallon double walled diesel dispenser(s) — list tank size(s) and fuel AST, and one 5,000-gallon and one 10,000-gallon plastic contents leachate tanks. No stormwater pollution issues were observed. Underground storage tank(s) (USTs) N/A and any associated fill port area(s) and dispenser(s) — list tank size(s) and contents Outdoor material storage area(s) No Empty open top waste dumpsters were observed being stored outdoors when not being used for trash collection. According to facility personnel, all open top dumpsters are emptied or covered every evening. No stormwater pollution issues were observed. Outdoor processing area(s) N/A Loading/unloading area(s) No No stormwater pollution issues were observed in the indoor loading/unloading area. • (& To report pollution or drainage problems call: 311 CHARLOTTE_ http://stormwater.charmeck.org 1/17/2023 3:28:41PM Page 1 of 3 Site Inspection Deficiency Comments Vehicle/equipment area(s) - fueling, No According to facility personnel, no vehicle washing or maintenance, washing, storage, etc. maintenance occurs onsite. Vehicles are fueled at the diesel AST and were observed outdoors. No stormwater pollution issues were observed. Oil/water separator and/or No Leachate from the transfer station drains into an oil/water pretreatment separator before discharging into the leachate ASTs. The oil/ water separator is serviced on an as needed basis. No stormwater pollution issues were observed. Waste storage/disposal area(s) - Recommendation The facility has two open top general waste dumpsters used open tops, waste containers, scrap to dispose of loose trash that has been collected on the metal bins, etc. property. Both open top dumpsters and several smaller rolling waste bins were observed open and uncovered. CMSWS recommends keeping all waste containers covered to protect water quality. Indoor processing area(s) No Garbage within the transfer station is compacted prior to being loaded into trailers. No stormwater pollution issues were observed. Floor drains No No floor drains were observed during the inspection but facility personnel indicated that drains within the transfer station discharge the leachate into the oil/water separator and then into the leachate ASTs. No stormwater pollution issues were observed in the transfer station. Spill response equipment No Spill response equipment was observed adjacent to the diesel fuel AST.
