However, Alternative 5 stream impacts will occur within the Falling Creek- water supply intake watershed which is Class: WS-III, CA. Alternative 1 is located thru downtown Rockingham within the Falling Creek (Hinson Lake) which is Class C. The NCWAM forms related to wetland impacts are available, but I couldn’t locate a complete set of NCDWQ 4.11 or NCSAM forms corresponding to the stream impacts proposed for Alt 1 or Alt 5. I’ll be requesting those materials for review, as those forms could support a final decision. It should also be noted that Mr. Tommy H. Williams has contacted DEQ on multiple occasions (as recently as this week), requesting a project status update. Mr. Williams lives on Wiregrass Road and owns the chicken farm which will be directly impacted by Alt. 5. Mr. Williams contact information is listed in the Property Owner mailing list (page 13). Once I’ve reviewed the stream forms, I’ll follow back up with you. If you have additional questions, just let me know. We have a CP3 LEDPA Merger Meeting coming up at some point on a project (U-5706)…I think it’s Division 8. The latest impact table is below and is a result of a lot of back and forth between the Corps and NCDOT to reduce their impacts on their preferred alternative (ALT 5). Alternative 1 is an improve existing option through town (I think it’s Rockingham). The water supply watershed is a III (I think). We are starting to waiver and think we could support alternative 5, but wanted to reach out and see how you felt. This is about the best they could do (although I think the actual numbers wind up slightly lower): Monte 2
