Before I mail the revised application to Raleigh, I will wait to hear from you on these responses, in case anything else needs to be changed or corrected. Attached to this email are 3 diagrams and a revised application with changes highlighted in yellow. This isn't the complete package that will go to Raleigh, butjust the items I think you will need to review. I really appreciate you working with me on this. Items 10 & 11, the application propose 3,900 sq. ft. and 8,750 sq. ft. of shoreline stabilization. General permit No. 198200030 conditions prescribe that bulkhead and rip -rap . alignments will not extend farther water ward than an average distance of two (2) feet, maximum distance of five (5) feet from the normal pool elevation contour and may not extend more than 500 feet along a shoreline. Ihave modified nty application as indicated in diagrams I & 2. Specifically, 1 have changed the square footage listed in items 10 and 11 to 1,500 sq. fi and 2,500 sq. ft. respectively. Provide appropriate information regarding any approval by the Corp of Engineers for the proposed shoreline stabilization that exceeds 500 feet and additional explanation as to why 650 feet of stabilization is needed. Seawall has been shortened to 500 ft In January 2012, a 401 WQC was issued for approximately 240 feet of impact for shoreline stabilization at this location. Please explain if there is any correlation between this existing impact and the new proposed impact? See diagram 3 which indicates the location of the 2012 seawall project in relation to the 2014 application. The application describes 230 LF of stabilization on Bear Lake Heaven Property (PIN 7586 -45 -2681) and 420 LF on Duke Power's set -back area. Provide an appropriate map indicating impact location and property ownership for the 420 LP section. The property is owned by Bear Lake Heaven, pin no. 7586 -46 -3302 and 7586 -45 -2681. See diagram 3 for details. The length of the seawall has been modified from 420 LF to 270 LF. There is also a section of undisturbed shoreline — see diagram 3. The application states a seawall will be constructed 5ft. x 650 ft. Please provide a construction detail of the seawall. See diagrams . l and 2. The application states a cleared area 8ft. x 650 ft. Please explain how this activity will be executed without violating trout buffer regulations. No bank clearing will be required for the 500 feet ofseawall because LWD that has alreadyfallen into the lake will be moved further into the take.
