Our calculations indicate the total active nitrogen estuary allocation of the NRCA is 1,153,504 pounds. The Town of Clayton has 4,597 pounds and SGWASA has 2,445 pounds of total nitrogen allocation in reserve. The City of Havelock made a request to join the NRCA at the July 01, 2010 Board meeting. The City provided detailed information regarding their operation and future plans for expansion. At the September 02, 2010 Board meeting our members voted to approve their application for membership "contingent" upon Havelock securing funding for their Phase I expansion of their facilities. At this time Havelock has not been successful in securing funding through the State's Construction Grants& Loan program or through the USDA Rural Development loan program. In light of that fact we request Haveiock's addition to the NRCA's permit occur once written confirmation is received they have secured the necessary funding for their Phase I expansion. If you have any questions about the requested revisions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 919.831.6560 or Haywood Phthisic, our Executive Director at 919.796.8049.
