Where the paved asphalt splits 3 ways take the gravel road on the left further down to the property. Please include road names and numbers, landmarks etc. 5. Describe the existing land use or condition of the site at the time of this application: * The site consists of two properties totaling approximately 1.1 acres. A single family residence is under construction on 1 of the two properties. The property also has a boathouse that was constructed circa 1985. Residential, undeveloped, etc. 6. Describe proposed work (include discussion as to how hardening of shoreline has been avoided, or why it is necessary): The house project is set back 35' from the lake 990 elevation. The property contains an existing seawall. The property owners, separate from the house contractor, are requesting approval to build a 8'x24' dock adjacent to the boathouse and 1 4' wide walkway along the seawall over the lake. The actual impact to the lake bed will be extremely minimal for the concrete footings for the boardwalk and dock. This work is proposed to be done while Lake Lure is drawn down. The work would be completed prior to the end of Feb. 2023 to give the concrete 30 days to cure before the lake level is raised. 8. How will the work be done? * From Land From Water 9. Total amount of disturbance below the normal pool lake level/ normal water level: * (including all clearing, back fill, excavation, rip rap, retaining walls, etc.) 20 square feet 10. Total amount of disturbance above the normal pool lake level/ normal water level and 50 feet land- ward: * (including all clearing, back fill, excavation, rip rap, retaining walls, etc.) 300 square feet 11. Please describe the vegetation above the normal pool lake level/ normal water level and 50 feet landward to be impacted:* (number of trees, for instance) the 15 sf is for the footings that will be dug into the lake bed while the water is down. The dock and boardwalk work will not disturb and trees or vegetation as it will be above water. The 300 sf is the max above land is disturbance for the stairs behind the existing boathouse and for the walkway to house that is under construction. You will need to send a corresponding fee in with the appropriate DWR#.
