We don't see too many applications for triplex pumps, and the application isn't very clear about how the operational point should be specified. Jason T. Robinson, P.E. Does the pump station pump 812 GPM with two pumps pumping simultaneously (and largest pump out of service). Jason T. Robinson, P.E. Hello Jason, Regarding the attached permit and fast track application: myself and the City have a question: 2 - On the FTSA, page 6 (Section VIII.3), I indicated the total number of pumps at the pump station as 3, and the design flow of the pump station to be 1.17MGD firm capacity. - On the next line, I indicated the Operational Point per Pump as 760GPM. As, per my report, this is what (1) pump will pump. - But, on page 3 of the attached permit, it states "the construction and operation of a 760GPM pump station with triplex pumps". Shouldn't this indicate the pump station at its firm capacity of 1.17MGD (8112GPM)? We need the pump station to be permitted for the firm capacity so the city can satisfy guarantees developers have asked for. Please let me know if this was a mistake in the permit, or if I filled out that section of the FTSA incorrectly and what the easiest way to correct this will be. Thanks! Zach C.
