PPG Industries, Inc.
Sludge dewatering system
Shelby, Cleveland County
Dear Mt. Ballard:
The final clans and specifications for the subject project have been
reviewed and found to be satisfactory. Authorization is hereby granted
for the construction of a 14 gpm (750 pounds/hour) sludge dewatering system
to condition and process nixed primary and activated sludge from the PPG
1.25 r;d activated sludge facilities. This Authorization to Construct
does not charge the wastewater treatment plant classification of Class
IV previously assigned to the PPG Industries, Inc. Wastewater Treatment
Facilities.
This Authorization to Construct shall be subject to revocation unless
the wastewater treatment facilities and sludge dewaterin5 system are
constructed in accordance with the conditions and limitations specified
in Permit No. NC0004635.
Also, enclosed is a copy of WPC Form 150 "Cost of Wastewater Treatment
Works." This form is to be completed and returned to this office within
thirty (37) days after the project is completed.
