The manhole location is pretty set as we are placing it between the existing water line and proposed duct banks. The Contractor will have to make adjustments to the pipe segments accordingly. From the drawing, it appears that this may require the reconfiguration of manholes. Will that be the case? Thanks, Jason Jason T. Robinson, P.E. We are meeting the requirements of 15A NCAC 18C .0906c, in that we will have 18 inches of separation from the outside of the water main and the outside of the sewer. This stipulation allows for the water to be below the sewer. We can add a note to our drawing that requires a full length of ductile iron sewer pipe be centered over the existing water main so that the sewer pipe joints are as far from the water line as possible. Please let me know if you have any further questions or need any additional information. Thanks, Jonathan Jonathan A. Therefore, 15A NCAC 02T (g)(3) must be met (see below). I don't think we have a copy of the plans (Sheet C- 201). Does the sewer crossing over the waterline meet watermain standards (18C .0906)? 2 (3) for public water main horizontal or vertical separations, alternatives as described in 1 SA NCAC 18C .0906; Jason T. It does not comply with the chart shown in IX.1 where it states that water over sewer is preferred. As shown on Sheet C-201, we have a proposed sewer main crossing over existing water mains; however, we are still meeting the 18" separation. Please let me know if you have any further questions. This doesn't appear to be explained in the narrative. Please explain. Thanks, Jason Jason T. Robinson, P.E.
