Subject: Requested Flow Allocation for the Fayetteville Public Works Commission's Water
Reclamation Facilities
Dear Mr. Allen:
To date, for 2022, the Fayetteville Public Works Commission (PWC) has allocated approximately
300,000 gallons of wastewater flow through the Rockfish Creek Wastewater Reclamation Facility (WRF).
For calendar year 2023, PWC is requesting an allocation of 500,000 gallons for the Rockfish Creek WRF.
Currently, the Rockfish Creek WRF receives an average flow of 13.4 million gallons per day (MGD),
with a permitted capacity of 21 MGD.
Through November 2022, PWC has allocated approximately 135,000 gallons of wastewater flow for the
Cross Creek WRF. We are requesting an allocation of 150,000 gallons for the Cross Creek WRF for
calendar year 2023. Currently, the Cross Creek WRF receives an average flow of 12.4 MGD, with a
permitted capacity of 25 MGD.
Please contact Mr. John Allen, Senior Engineer, at (910) 223-4734 if you have any questions or require
additional information.
Sincerely,
PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION
John P. Allen, P.E.
