RE: Public hearing for removal of Dillsboro dam, Dillsboro, NC
Mr. Paul Nolan, attorney for Jackson County, has suggested that I send you a copy of the CD which
contains the application from Duke Energy to remove Dillsboro dam and its associated powerhouse. As you
may know, the Division will be having a public hearing on September 25 at Western Carolina University.
Instead of the public having to drive to Asheville to get a copy of this lengthy application, Mr. Nolan thought it
might be helpful to have a copy available in your offices for the public to review. I hope you are able to
accommodate his request. I can be reached at 919-733-9646 if you have any questions.
