Dear Mr. Anderson,  
Thank you for providing us the opportunity to clarify our submitted proposed shoreline stabilization application you 
received Oct. 5. The following information hopefully fulfills your requirements for this project to be approved. 

1. The site plan is attached. 

2.  As to how the area will be accessed and how the work will be done.... A 32 ft. Barge will carry all equipment and 
material by water.   A compact excavator will be used to clear the undercut areas and place natural boulder, and rip rap 
in front of #8 erosion control fabric. A silt fence will be erected between land and lake at approximately 25 ft from 
shoreline to protect lake which is currently drawn down to 90 ft. away from the shore.  The work will be done in 
manageable segments of excavation and wall building occurring before moving on to next segment.  This will further 
insure protection of the water from sediment. 

The proposed wall will be comprised of a 5 ft. Vertical bulkhead of natural boulders with rip rap placed at the base 
extending lakeward approximately 3 feet.  As stated above #8 sediment fabric will be placed behind the rock. Excavation 
will be limited only to what is necessary to restore a stable contour. Any exposed excavated areas landward will have 
soil/ erosion control fabric and then perennial Plantings to further protect the lake. 

Several photos and county property survey documents were included in the original application. If you need further 
information please let us know.  We sincerely wish to assure you that we intend to have this project completed for the 
benefit of the lake and it’s shoreline.  We have enjoyed owning property on the lake for more than 25 years and hope to 
keep this home for many more.
