system. Proposed Lot 1 comprises 2.00 acres divided from the parent parcel No. 08093007B. The use is for a single

Mr. Pitner,
I am writing in regard to the Special Order of Consent (SOC), EMC SOC WQ S20-001, Union County has in place for the
Grassy Branch WWTP, NPDES Permit NC0085812. The SOC was fully executed in June 2022 and expires September 30,
2027. Condition 8 of the SOC reads as follows:

. During the term of this SOC, the County will not be permitted to accept additional wastewater
from any domestic, industrial, or commercial sources within the Grassy Branch Basin without
prior approval from the Mooresville Regional Supervisor and the Water Quality Permitting
Section,
We have had a property owner approach the County for a single residential connection to the Grassy Branch collections
system. Can you let me know what application materials and/or documentation would be required to be submitted to
your office for consideration of the request?
I have attached the SOC for your reference. Thanks in advance for your assistance and please let me know if you have
any questions.
