RE: System Logistics-Vertique
Semi-annual discharge monitoring reports (DMR)
Monitoring period 2022 Year 1-Period 1
Parameter retesting
To Whom it May Concern,
veffliqLue
The System Logistics-Vertique ("System Logistics") facility located in Arden, North Carolina is
submitting the following information to the Division of Water Quality ("Division") in regard to the
facility general industrial permit NCG030636.
The current monitoring period is recognized as January 1, 2022 through June 30, 2022. The sample
analysis attached was collected from outfall 001.
The sample analysis for copper exceeded the new discharge permit parameter of 0.010 ppm for
freshwater analysis. The sample result was 0.0113 ppm. The contracted laboratory minimum
detection limit and the discharge limit for the facility is 0.010 ppm. The exceedance resulted in an
excess of 0.001 ppm for copper. System Logistics has completed a review of the facility grounds and
possible sources of copper could not be located. System Logistics will sample the outfall during a
qualifying event to verify compliance with the NPDES permit during the 2nd semi-annual period in
2022.
Appalachian Environmental Resources, Inc. has been contracted to assist with the storm water quality
program at the facility. The Storm water Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP) has been developed and
all information pertaining to the NPDES permit for Metal Fabrication has been completed.
