Dear Mr. Moore:
A letter of request for Authorization to Construct was received May 30,
1985, by the Division and final plans and specifications for the subject project
have been reviewed and found to be satisfactory. Authorization is hereby granted
for the construction of a sludge processing facility consisting of, a 26-foot
diameter aerated sludge holding tank, a waste sludge control building containing
two (2) blower assemblies and two (2) sludge pumps, six (6) 35 ft. by 78 ft.
sludge drying beds, six (6) 4 ft. diameter manholes and associates piping,c'leanouts,
and other appurtenances.
This Authorization to Construct is issued in accordance with Part III para-
graph C of NPDES Permit No. NC0005312 issued May 30, 1983, and shall be subject
to revocation unless the wastewater treatment facilities are constructed in
accordance with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit No. NC005312.
The Permittee must employ a certified wastewater operator in accordance
with Part III paragraph D of the referenced permit.
In event the facilities fail to perform satisfactorily, Chatham County
Manufacturing Company shall take such immediate corrective action as may be
required by this Division, including the construction of additional information
0ne (1) set of approved plans and specifications is being forwarded to
