This is the City of Oxford response letter for the NOTICE OF VIOLATION for tracking number: NOV-2022-DV-0329. On 10/1/2022 tropical storm lan moved across N.C. with high winds and with that we had a tree fall and damage a sewer aerial line. This line was located at 130 Pine Cone Dr. Oxford N.C. The city crews plugged the upstream manhole and set up bypass pumps to pump around the line break. The city hired a contractor to come and repair the line break. The line was repaired on (Sunday) 10/2/2022 by the contractor. The city crew did bypass pumping until the repair was done. The city had someone on site the entire time the bypass pumping was being done. The area was cleaned up and service returned to normal on 10/2/2022. The tree that fell and hit the line was not within the city easement. On 10/1/2022 we also went out and checked all aerial sewer lines and found no other issues.
