Surane 6706 Limbaugh Lane Hickory, NC 28601 Subject Property: Lake Hickory Marina, 6706 Limbaugh Lane, Hickory, NC Lake Hickory [030832, 11(53), WSN, B, CA] REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION Dear Sir or Madam: On March 20, 2007, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated March 16, 2007, with additional information received by DWQ on September 18, 2007,. to impact 0.046 acres of open waters below the normal pool level and 750 square feet of Zone 1 of the protected riparian buffers to remove a concrete wall and replace it with rip-rap. The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete and/or provided inaccurate information as discussed below. The DWQ will require additional information in order to process your application to impact protected wetlands and/or streams on the subject property. Therefore, unless we receive the additional information requested below, we will have to move toward denial of your application as required by 15A NCAC 2H .0506 and will place this project on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information. Please provide the following information so that we may continue to review your project. Additional Information Requested: 1. Incomplete Application Please resubmit your GP30 application with all impacts to the protected riparian buffers, open waters, streams and wetlands quantified. Please be sure that all activities in the buffers, streams, open waters and wetlands are included in this application. You do not need to resubmit the permitting fee. 2. Buffer Restoration Plan Your riparian buffer restoration plan must comply with 15A NCAC 2B.0244(9). The plan must include species of trees to be planted, time of plantings, a plan sheet showing the location of the plantings and a timeline for the one-time fertilization within the protected riparian buffers. You must plant 320 trees per acre within the retained portions of the protected buffers. You must ensure their survival for a period of at least five (5) years. You are required to replace any of these trees that die within this five (5) year period. Y.ou are required to provide proof in writing that the trees have been planted within one year of the date of this letter. If we do not hear from you within three weeks, we will assume that you no longer want to pursue this project and we will consider the project as withdrawn. This letter only addresses the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, waters or protected buffers.
