LANDSCAPING NOTES
1. 30' STREETSCAPE BUFFER TO BE INSTALLED AND MAINTAINED BY THE DEVELOPER, UNTIL SUCH
TIME THAT OWNERSHIP IS TRANSFERRED TO AN HOA OR INDIVIDUAL LOT OWNERS, PER HARNETT
COUNTY LIDO STANDARDS.
2. 30' STREETSCAPE BUFFER SHALL INCLUDE A ROW OF EVERGREEN CONIFERS OR BROADLEAF
EVERGREENS PLACED NOT MORE THAN 5 FEET APART WHICH WOULD GROW TO FORM A
CONTINUOUS HEDGE OF AT LEAST 6 FEET IN HEIGHT WITHIN 2 YEARS, SUPPLEMENTED WITH

APPROXIMATELY 5-10' OUTSIDE THE RIGHT-OF-WAY.
4. STREET TREES SHALL BE AT LEAST 2 CALIPER INCHES AND 6 FT IN HEIGHT AT TIME OF
PLANTING.
5. 15' TYPE A LANDSCAPE BUFFER TO BE INCLUDED ALONG ALL SIDE AND REAR PROPERTY LINES
AS SHOWN ON PLAN. BUFFER SHALL INCLUDE:
5.1. STAGGERED ROW OF LARGE MATURING TREES SPACED NOT MORE THAN 30 FT APART
5.2. LOW -GROWING EVERGREEN SHRUBS, EVERGREEN GROUND COVER, OR MULCH COVERING
BALANCE OF BUFFER AREA
5.3. ROW OF EVERGREEN SHRUBS PLACED NOT MORE THAN 4 TO 6 FT APART WHICH WILL GROW
TO FORM A CONTINUOUS HEDGE OF AT LEAST 6 FT IN HEIGHT WITHIN 2 YEARS
6. THE RETENTION OF EXISTING VEGETATION SHALL BE MAXIMIZED TO THE EXTENT PRACTICAL,
