Hi Jason,
I was mostly fine with everything in the Division 1 -8 meeting minutes. I wanted to make a couple edits to the meeting
minutes for Division 1 -8.
Please For R-06091A Mile Branch —
DOT will mow and chemically treat the lespeza on the left buffer (looking downstream) and the right buffer (if needed)
plantings after the 2014 monitoring period to stabilize areas that had bank scour.
I can not remember if there was much lespedeza on the right (south) stream buffer so that could just be spot treated if
needed. I may have miss understood that treating the buffer might only entail mowing, please do also spray after
mowing. Also, I am not sure if DOT has ever tried other forms of bank stabilization like brush - mattresses, that might be
another option for those scour areas we looked at in the field.
For R- 2606WM UT to Muddy Creek
Please also add — "Some concern was noted over the slow stream flow rate and buildup of algae behind stream
structures at road crossing. DOT will chemically treat the dense area of Japanese honeysuckle in the buffer."
