We thought it would be appropriate to contact Mr. Plate in light of the new information. This is consistent with our previous contacts with the agencies, that we would review the legacy information if anything happened. We will schedule a conversation, develop a record of the correspondence, and add that to the Legacy discussion. We hope to schedule the discussion once we’re through the USFW letter. It should be possible to complete this prior to finalizing the draft supplemental final. If they have no funding source, feasibility study, or project plan, it won’t change our conclusions, but we’ll withhold judgment until we have the conversation. Yes, there was some information about Legacy provide to us by Jamal (attached). We can continue to monitor the proposal, it sounds as if it is being revamped. Not sure if other components have been reevaluated in light of the revamping (funding, zoning, etc.). I assume (so please correct me if I am mistaken), that Baker will incorporate the comments provided Wednesday by Catena and these comments from Colin. I agree that all memos and reports that have overlapping information should be closely reviewed for consistency. We can talk more about this on Monday at 3:00. Thanks and have a nice weekend everyone, Jennifer Jennifer Harris, P.E. Nothing major. As far as I can tell all the questions raised in the letter are addressed. I did hear the other night at the MUMPO meeting that LEGACY had been scaled back from the “proposed” 5000 acres to around 200 acres. Is there any planning evidence of this? I would like to make a request (although I’m sure its being done) that we make sure that all these update letters/memos etc. and the updated ICE are put side-by-side, before they are finalized and circulated, and sections that are common between documents are consistent. Thanks. Sorry for the delay. Have a good weekend. ----------------------------------------------- Colin Mellor ICI/On-site Mitigation NCDOT-PDEA, Natural Environment Section 919-707-6139 Email correspondence to and from this sender is subject to the N.C.
