The pump stations inspected include: Deer Run, Country Club Drive, Fox Lake, Jefferson Street, and High School. The communication system was tested at each pump station inspected and was functional, as well as audio and visual alarms. Deer Run had a permanent generator on site, which was tested and functioning. The Spill Response Action Plan is posted at each pump stations. Inspections and maintenance are logged in well -organized and detailed logbooks. Grease traps required by the Sewer Use Ordinance need to be cleaned every sixty days. Grease education is distributed on bills twice a year. Door hangers are left at customers' homes if a problem is found in their area. Cans for grease with biodegradable bags within are distributed to help encourage customers to not pour grease down the drain.
