City of Claremont
North Wastewater Treatment Plant
Chlorination Facility Repairs
Catawba County
Dear Mayor Sigmon:
Final plans and specifications for the subject project have been reviewed
and found to be satisfactory. Authorization is hereby granted for the construc-
tion of modifications to the City of Claremont's existing disinfection facilities
to consist of replacing the existing dry chemical feed system with a chlorine gas
system.
Effluent disinfection shall be maintained during the proposed change -over.
This is a Class II Wastewater Treatment Plant and the operator in respon-
sible charge must hold a valid Grade II Certificate.
This Authorization to Construct shall be subject to revocation unless the
wastewater treatment facilities are constructed in accordance with the conditions
and limitations specified in Permit No. NC0032671.
Also, enclosed is a copy of WPC Form #50 "Cost of Wastewater Treatment Works.
This form is to be completed and returned to this office within thirty (30) days
after the project is completed.
