Lying and being in Quewhi['lle Township, on the north side of and adjoining
Reservation Road, and on the southeast side of and adjoining Old Pinehurst Road, east
of the intersection of said two roads with N. C. Highway 211, and being more
particularly described according to a survey entitled "Property of Ralph Cothran, dated
August 18,1952, prepared by R H. Gatlin, C. E., as follows: BEGINNING at a point in
the centerline of Reservation Road, such point being the southeast corner of the land
owned now or formerly by D. R. Huff, Jr. and wife (See Book 114, Page 505), such
beginning point being located North 71 degrees 15 minutes East 1,067 feet from the
point where the A & R Railroad track crosses N. C. Highway 211 at Ashley Heights, and
running thence from said point of beginning, as and with the Huff land North 47 degrees
15 minutes West 602.5 feet to an iron stake in Old Pinehurst Road (a former farm road);
thence as and with Old Pinehurst Road North 38 degrees 2,700 feet to an iron stake in
the line of the Port Bragg Military Reservation; thence as and with the Fort Bragg line
South 28 degrees East 2,030 feet to an iron stake on the south edge of Reservation Road;
thence continuing with the Fort Bugg fine South 21 degrees East 2,535 feet to an iron
stake; thence South 62 degrees West 343 feet to an iron stake in the line of Riley (now or
formerly); thence as, with and beyond the Riley line North 28 degrees West 2,622 feet
(passing over an iron stake, a common corner of the Riley and Hardister land) to an iron
stake in the southern line of Reservation Road; thence South 71 degrees 15 minutes
West 1,635 feet to the BEGINNING, containing 100.5 acres, more or leas.
The above described tract of land is a portion of that Iand which was conveyed"to J
Benton Thomas by H. D. Harrison, Jr., Substitute Trustee, by deed dated gebruac!13,1958;
and recorded in Book 101, at Page 628, Hoke County Registry. J. Benton Thomas 1
subsequently died in 1963. By the terms of Article V of his Last Will and Testanien�, which
recorded in Will Book 3, Page 41, in the Office of the Hoke County Cl.,k of ourt, he
