Dear Mr. Hathaway
The Division of Water Resources has received correspondence from Civil Design Concepts dated
January 9, 2015, in response to the NOV noted above. The proposal includes the removal of sediment
from Clayton Creek. Sediment will be removed manually with buckets and shovels.
The plan indicates placing sediment along the pond bank and stabilizing. Please ensure that the
removed sediment is placed far enough away from the stream bank to eliminate any risk of sediment
returning to the stream, until the area is stabilized appropriately. Consider using silt fence to stabilize
the removed sediment while the ground cover becomes established.
The remedial actions presented in the response have been found satisfactory and are approved.
_ Culvert installation conditions will continue to be monitored for meeting the aquatic passage
requirement noted in NOV 2014 -PC -0179.
Activities involved in this approved plan, as well as submittal of the final report, are to be completed
