Wasteload Allocation Summary
(approach taken, correspondence with region, EPA, etc.)
Forbush is currently discharging to a zero flow stream. This wasteload
is submitted for the potential relocation of the discharge to Mill Branch
from a UT to Mill Branch. Although the facility has been meeting the
current limits during 9/90-12/90, chronic violations of BOD5 and NH3-N
occurred during the previous school year . Staff report states that the

In the relocation, a NH3-N limit was implemented based on NH3-N

since it appears the facility will be able to meet it.

PART IV - EVALUATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
This septic tank surface sandfilter system prwently
discharges into a zero flow stream. This application is for
relocation of the discharge into a positive flow stream.
The system is very well maintained and self -monitor data
September - December 1990 indicates a high quality effluent
has consistently been produced. For the period September -
December 1990, the effluent BOD averaged less than 3/0 mg/1
and the TSS averaged 11 mg/l. The existing system should
consistently meet 30-30 limits. This school is covered by a
SOC. The school has an enrollment of approximately 190
students and staff.
It is recommended that a permit be issued for the
relocation of the discharge, even though visual observations
indicate it is doubtful the effluent, at the existing
discharge point, ever reaches a flowing stream.
