Guidelines for Access: The staff of Wilmington Regional Office is dedicated to making public records in our custody readily
available to the public f'or review and copying. We also have the responsibility to the public to safeguard these records and to carry
out our day-to-day program obligations. Please read carefully the following guidelines signing the form:
1. Due to the large public demand for file access, we request that you call at least a day, in advance to schedule an
appointment to review the files. Appointments will be scheduled between 9:00am and 3:00pm. Viewing time ends at
4:45pm. Anyone arriving without an appointment may view the riles to the extent that time and staff supervision
is available.
2. You must specify files you want to review by facility name. 'file number of files that you may review in one time will
be limited to five.
3. CAMA Major Permits are issued out ol'the Morehead City District Office. 'rhe COMPLETE file is in the Morehead
Office and may contain additional information and/or comments which may not be in the WIRO file
4. You may make copies of a file when the copier is not in use by the staff and if time permits. Cost per copy is $.05 cents.
Payment may be made by check, money order, or cash at the reception desk.
5. FILES MUST BE KEPT IN ORDER YOU FOUND THEM. Piles may not be taken from the office. To remove,
alter, deface, mutilate, or destroy material in one of these files is a misdemeanor for which you can be fined up to
$500.00. No briefcases large totes, etc, are permitted in the file review area.
6. Necessary large plan copies can be scheduled with Cameron.WeavertD,iu(lenr.eov 919-796-7265 for a later date/time at
an offsite location at your expense. Large plan copies needed should be attached on top of the file. Allways Graphics

Thank you for calling this morning to afford our Birkdale HOA Board the opportunity to meet with
you briefly to discuss our HOA's pond (State Stormwater Permit SW8 951020, extended to
11/10/22). 1 left a phone message for you, but you were out.
I contacted the other Board Members and at least four of five of us can meet with you tomorrow
morning at 10 AM here at our pond. I propose we meet at the end of Edgemont Drive (at the
pond), meet and greet, then walk the pond. We are interested in getting a better understanding of
what the permit renewal process entails, hearing your impressions on the current quality of our
pond, and hearing your views on the pros and cons of aquatic vegetation.
Our Board consists of myself, Paul Pluta as President, Wood Lotz (in front of whose :house we will
meet) as Vice President, Kathy Murchison as Treasurer, Cammie Tomsic as Secretary, and Alex

As per your request, I am sending this email to confirm that expiration dates have been extended for the
following permits:
SW8 950701— Woodbridge, extended to 11/28/19
SW8 951020— Birkdale, extended to 11/10/22
SW8 951210— Landfall Horseshoe Lake, extended to 4/30/22
On August 5, 2009, the Governor signed Session Law 2009-406. This law impacts any development approval
issued by the Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources under Article 21 of Chapter 143 of the General
Statutes, which is current and valid at any point between January 1, 2008, and December 31, 2010. The law
extends the effective period of any stormwater permit that was set to expire during this time frame up to
three (3) years from its current expiration date. On August 2, 2010, the Governor signed Session Law 2010-
177, which granted an extra year for an extension of up to four (4) years.
