The revisions include an additional building and wash down areas that were not previously included on the January 10, 2005 approved plan. The future impervious allocation of 2,221 sf for this permit is now limited to 1,324 sf. It has been determined that a formal permit modification is not required for the proposed changes. We are forwarding you an approved copy of the revised plans for your files. Please replace the old approved plan sheet with the new one. Please be aware that all terms and conditions of the permit issued on January 10, G, 2005, remain in full force and effect. Please also understand that the approval of this revision to the approved plans for the subject State Stormwater Permit is done on a case -by -case basis. Any other changes to this project must be approved through this Office prior to construction. The issuance of this plan revision does not preclude the permittee from complying with all other applicable statutes, rules, regulations or ordinances which may have jurisdiction over the proposed activity, and obtaining a permit or approval prior to construction. Wilmington, NC 28409 (910)409-3567 04/16/09 Stormwater Narrative Smith Creek Storage Facility Phase I New Hanover County, NC PN 100-014 Smith Creek Storage Facility is an existing site which received a stormwater permit modification on January 10, 2005. The site was constructed slightly different then the permitted set of plans. We have reviewed the site and have approximate current impervious area numbers based on as -built survey information from Chris Clover PLS. The Current site has 41,704 sf of Building, 67,412 sf of parking, 1,489 sf of sidewalks/concrete, and allocation for 1,324 sf of future impervious coverage. Therefore the total of 111,929 sf and 71% impervious coverage remains the same as the January 1o, 2005 permit. The Smith Creek Storage Facility was permitted high density treated by a wet detention facility. The pond has been constructed and will be verified for correct installation prior to certification. Runoff from this site will ultimately reach Spring Branch Classification "C-SW". The building footprint is 894 sf. with only 552 sf. being new impervious area. The current pond design can handle this additional impervious area. Are we required to obtain a modification for this additional impervious area? We have also proposed to intercept the previously used wash down area into a grease interceptor.. Outflow from this interceptor will be routed to a scour hole and sheet flow into a heavily vegetated woodland area. Roof drains have all been rerouted to the forebay of the basin. I have noticed what I believe to be a mix up in the SW #s and inspection reports. When referring back to the permits it seems as if the inspection report written with SW8 #0030525 should really be for permit SW8#ooioo9 and inspection report for SW8#ooioo9 should be for SW8#030525. Please confirm this for me. Please review for approval and contact us with any questions, comments or additional information needed. Upon approval of these changes we work to provide certification of the stormwater facility. Sincerely, Intracoastal Engineering PLLC Charles A Cazier, E. 91 Pelican Point Rd.
