The DWR has concerns regarding discrepancies contained within the application and a lack of information necessary to complete the review. The DWR requests the following additional information be provided to complete the review. How will the velocity of the discharge at the outlet structure be controlled to prevent scour of the downstream wetlands? The application show a manual release gate on the weir? How and when will the water be released and under what circumstances will warrant a release. The aesthetics pond is now being treated as an SCM, what operation and maintenance agreement will be in place to maintain the function of the pond?? How will the water that is drained from the pond be managed? How will the upstream waters be prevented from entering the work area during excavation and construction? What is the duration for construction? Have you consulted with the NC WRC regarding potential alligators within the pond? Where will the spoil material be stockpiled? How will the spoil material be prevented from re- entering the adjacent water course? Will the spoil material be utilized onsite? The application is on hold until all of the information detailed above has been received by our office. Thanks in advance for your attention to this mater. Feel free to call or email me if you have any questions. Ben, There is a section in the PCN package (Starting on page 35) that talks about State Stormwater Permit (SW8 880620) this is for a Low Density permit. Through previous e-mails with DWR we've already established that the ponds are not part of the stormwater treatment for this subdivision. We're you able to find a base (original) depth for the ponds? Was there any paper work or original engineering plans for the ponds that you can use as a reference for this project? These were the only (2) comments that I have for the PCN application review. Thanks for your help with this project Respectfully, Gary US Army Corps: al Engineers Workington.
