The City of Belmont worked diligently to clear the debris and reduce the overflow volume to the best of its ability. There was no expected impact on wildlife or public health stemming from this overflow. City public works and engineering staff are currently reviewing this gravity main to determine if it can be reengineered to prevent future blockages. A complete rehabilitation of this pipe is being discussed and has been added to the City of Belmont's Capital Improvements Program.
