From: King, Scott [ mailto :Scott.King @mbakerintl.com] Sent: Friday, January 16, 2015 1:09 PM To: Baker, Virginia; Turlington, Chad Subject: RE: Flea Hill Ditch EEP project Good afternoon folks, Thank you for meeting me on site yesterday for the stream ID walkover. I bet before this project is over, you'll both be asked to review various aspects of it so I'm glad you got to see it at least once first hand! Attached is a revised map of the project showing the stream ID calls. Again, those two tributaries to the east flowing into the main channel that we called intermittent are not directly on the project but since they contribute a significant flow I'm glad we took a look at them and made a call. Though with all the rain it was admittedly difficult... If you agree with the revised map, I would appreciate it if you could both respond back in an email simply saying that you agree or approve of the stream ID calls as given the map (revision date 1/15/15). We do not need you to process all the paperwork for the full Preliminary -JD application, especially since the Corps has already done that here. We can just attach your comments and email with our mitigation plan to the IRT so they can have a level of assurance that the calls we're making are reasonable as that could potentially affect our design (and their approval of the design). Oh and that adjacent landowner we met at the end? Well, Chris Roessler (our project manager who found the site) is quite familiar with him. He's spoken to him on several occasions and says he's a friendly enough man. He even considered (for a second) participating in a restoration himself. Please let me know if you have any questions! I will still be reviewing the draft and final mitigation plans. I contacted Chad Turlington at our Fayetteville office about a field visit so we can get you this stream determination letter. Also, since I missed the field visit last summer I would like to go out with Chad at the same time and see the site so I thought we could coordinate a time with you if you need to meet us on property. We both have time available Jan 6 and 9 (would need to be done by Ipm on the 6 th or 51th), 12, 15, 22, 26, or 29 of this month and can schedule out if February too.
